Terms of service

Last updated March 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Delay website and service ("Service") operated by Delay ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. Service description

Delay is a cloud-hosted HTTP job scheduler. You configure cron schedules or push one-off jobs via the API, and we execute HTTP requests to the endpoints you specify on your behalf.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and API tokens. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Send unsolicited requests to endpoints you do not own or have permission to call.
  • Conduct denial-of-service attacks, load testing against third parties, or any activity intended to disrupt another service.
  • Distribute malware, phishing content, or illegal material.
  • Circumvent rate limits, abuse free-tier quotas, or create multiple accounts to bypass plan restrictions.

4. Service availability

We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime, delayed executions, or missed cron runs.

5. Data and privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of all data you provide to the Service.

6. Payment and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
